I grew up not knowing that it was unusual to spend the weekends with my parents in a new home sales office, or walking a construction site, or taking car trips to look at model homes... that are what we did! My parents were homebuilders . . . As a family we lived it and we dreamed it... in the process, we built a good life for ourselves, a strong, publicly held business, and shelter for thousands of very happy Miller Homeowners. I followed in my parents footsteps, because in my mind there is little that is more satisfying than providing families the foundation for building dreams and recording memories. To me it’s basic: a home offers families comfort and builds security.
Satisfying “the family” is the underlying premise from which I begin each day as we wrestle with the day-to-day challenges this business presents . . . whether it’s developing a new floor plan, evaluating a new technique, questioning the layout of a street and the size and orientation of the home sites that it will serve. The ultimate question with each decision is, “Will it better serve our clientele - will it offer our customer a product that will enhance his lifestyle at a price that he will find affordable?”
Early on, I learned the importance of creating a community, not just building shelter; this is why we purchased the Villages at Cypress Creek, a 1,600-acre golf course community. Here we can create residential, business and commercial neighborhoods and establish an environment that enhances the value of one’s home.

THE MILLER STORY
Miller Florida Homes, Inc. continues the homebuilding tradition begun by the Miller family in 1955, which grew to become H. Miller and Sons, one of Florida’s most respected homebuilders. During the course of its 30-year existence, this company, which was listed on the American Stock Exchange, built over 5000 residential units in Florida in Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, and Boca Raton, and in Texas in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. It also owned 1400 acres for development in Tampa, some of which is now part of Cheval, the golf course community north of Carrollwood.
Michael Miller, president and principal shareholder of Miller Florida Homes, Inc. gained over 20 years’ experience at H. Miller and Sons, serving as president and Chief Executive Officer prior to, and after its’ acquisition by the Lennar Corporation. While Affiliated with Lennar, he also served on its Board of Directors.
The Directors and owners of Miller Florida Homes, Inc. have in excess of 100 years of real estate and building experience.
